Introductory Weekend
February 29 - March 1, 2020
11am-6pm (each day)
The Introductory Weekend is open to anyone who wants to acquaint themselves with Helene's work and the ANAR DANA Project. Intro attendees will view videos or photos of and try out several different dance styles ranging from North Africa, the Middle East, the Balkans, Anatolia, the Caucasus, Iran, and Central Asia.
Attendees will have the chance to ask any questions about the Project and the various dances. At the end of the weekend, attendees and Helene will pick seven dance styles -- one from each region listed above -- that will form the basis for the coming Project.
Intro attendees are not required to join the Project, and the weekend is an excellent survey of dance across the various regions represented.

Cost: $235 for full weekend
or $220 if there are 10 or more attendees
(exclusive of work-study members)
